Pastor Radomir Niewrzol (Radek) began his pastoral ministry at the Polish Christian Center in May 2017. Before becoming pastor, for many years he served as small home groups leader, taught Sunday School and occasionally preached the Word of God during Sunday services.
At this church he got to know his wife Agnieszka and it is here that they got married. For many years they both called this church their spiritual home.
For most of his life Radek didn’t believe that God is real, but during his last year at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, he experienced the reality of God by observing how his Christian friends lived. After graduating with a degree in biochemistry, Radek spent a year on the mission field in Puerto Rico and Brazil, where he discovered his life calling to be a teacher. Today he has the privilege of preach the Word of God and encouraging others to follow Christ.
Together with his wife Agnieszka, Radek wants to reach Polish people in the Chicago area with the good news of the Gospel. He wants everyone to experience the goodness and reality of God through Jesus who died on the cross, so all may come to know the mercy and love of our heavenly Father.
Tomasz became a born-again Christian in 2001. The experience has changed his life and he has become a member of the Polish Christian Center. From the very beginning he was involved in various ministries, but in the past few years his heart has leaned increasingly toward the ministry of worship. Presently, together with his wife Ania, they lead worship at the church. For Tomasz being able to lead believers in worshipping and praising God is a tremendous joy and a privilege. Since March of 2018 Tomasz is a member of the Board of PCC and pastor’s assistant.
John and Irena Kowalski were cofounders of the Polish Christian Center in 1986. Since then, they’ve faithfully served in this church in various areas. From the very beginning Irena has been teaching kids Sunday School, and in the past few years John has been helping her with this ministry. Irena is also involved in women’s ministry.
Since the founding of PCC John has been a part of the worship team, and a a member of the Board.
Professionally John is a pediatrician. John and Irena love people and their home is always open to those in need of love and compassion.
Teresa experienced the reality and power of the living God during her college years.
She trusted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior. Since that time she experiences God’s provision and His blessings in both her personal and professional life. In 2007 her friends who visited from Poland encouraged her to visit the Polish Christian Center. The pastor and other brothers and sisters cordially welcomed her and she immediately felt the love of God. Since that day, Polish Christian Center has become her spiritual home. This is where she grows and strengthens her faith. Teresa is involved in women’s ministry “Motyl” and in the kitchen fellowship “Spichlerz Babuni.” In February 2017 Teresa joined the Board of the Polish Christian Center. Her deepest desire for others comes from 2 Corinthians 4:14 “All this is for your benefit, so that the grace that is reaching more and more people may cause thanksgiving to overflow to the glory of God.”
